Linda Jennings is Executive Director of Market Sectors and Construction Technology. Ms. Jennings’ has literally grown up in the trade with her grandfather owning a sheet metal business and her father being a past chapter executive. She has managed three associations for decades including SMACNA San Diego chapter, Orange Empire SMACNA and the Inland Contractors Association.
During her tenure, Ms. Jennings managed all aspects of an association from HR responsibilities to accounting and fiduciary responsibilities. She also focused her efforts on the JATC, raising the bar by facilitating quality training, building effective labor relations, creating a local health plan, supporting legislative/regulatory issues on local and national levels, and solving the child care challenges for union sheet metal workers. In addition, she has become a leading authority on labor relations, and health and welfare plans governed by federal and California state law.
Praised as both a highly competent association executive and a leader, her commitment and contributions to her community are significant. During her tenure in San Diego, Ms. Jennings found time to serve on twelve different boards including several which publicly recognized her for her contributions, including San Diego Taxpayers Association’s Board Member of the Year, SMACNA’s Chapter Executive of the Year, SMACNA’s Chapter Executive Legislative Advocate of the Year, and Induction into SMACNA’s College of Fellows. Linda received her Bachelor of Arts & Science – English Language Arts at San Diego State University and is a Certified Association Executive, ASAE. Linda has two teenage children who are her biggest fans! Linda’s hobbies include spending time in the great outdoors, hiking, biking, golfing, and nerding out at Comic Con.
