SMACNA Convention Interview: John E. Sickle, Jr.

John E. Sickle, Jr., President of Duct Fabricators, Inc and Ohio Fabricators, Inc., joined Jeff Henriksen at the 2022 SMACNA Annual Convention in Colorado Springs, Colorado. During their discussion, John and Jeff talked about a variety of topics regarding the industry and his involvement with workforce development efforts. One of the focuses of their discussion was the Cleveland JATC. John outlined how the JATC has grown dramatically since he became involved, to the point where the JATC is offering instruction on sheet metal work, architectural concepts, and indoor air quality. John and Jeff also talked about how Fire/Life Safety is becoming an increasingly important part of their business. John outlines how his firm is now installing, servicing, and repairing fire dampers in critically important structures such as hospitals and nursing homes. Finally, John talks about the value of being involved as a legislative advocate on behalf of SMACNA.
